A1On September 29, 2018, the traditional Hovsepyan’s Day of Poetry was celebrated in the village of Heshtia, Ninotsminda region. Since 1997, this beautiful occasion brings together in Heshtia the heads of the region, poet’s friends and relatives, numerous guests from Tbilisi and Yerevan. A joint prayer was raised to the Almighty God in the Holy Mother of God (Surb Astvatsatsin) church of the village, under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Father Anton Antonyan and Rev. Father Tatev Marukyan and Rev. Father Armash Poghosyan, the Priests of the Armenian Diocese in 42924778 2144899748908175 6271184329888497664 nGeorgia of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church. Once again those who continue to be Victor’s friends, who support the poet’s house and the maintenance of his literary and cultural heritage, were remembered and encouraged.  
Afterwards, the attendees visited the poet’s house museum where the poet’s widow Mrs. Tereza and his son, Professor of University of Neurosurgical and Biological Research of Munich Sahak Hovsepyan met the guests. The poet’s daughter, Gisane Hovsepyan, head of the “House of Hovhannes Tumanyan” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, told about the love of Hovsep, Hovakim’s son, who fled from the monastery, moved from Kars to Karin and from Karin to Javakheti. In fact, it was the story of the establishment of Hovspeyan’s dynasty in Heshtia. She spoke about Victor Hovsepyan poet’s literary heritage, his unpublished works, particularly “Mommy, mommy, give me a fire” children’s collection of poems 42950826 2144899408908209 2099292508621111296 nwhich will be published in November of this year.
In one of the halls the literary relics of the poet were presented to the guests – originals of graphic works, drawings, Victor’s letters to his friends and their letters to Victor, the Narek book with illustrations painted by Hovsep, the son of Hovakim, prayer-book of his grandmother Khazo, in which the fingerprints of Khazo and her grandson are still preserved. There were the Georgian classical poet Terenti Graneli’s poems with illustrations translated into Armenian by Hovsepyan in one of the chapters and the original of the Novel “The lost Eden, or from where Arax begins” (about big migration of Karin) in other 42958252 2144899832241500 7942099566365507584 nchapter.
After the visit to museum, the guests attended Hovsepyan’s dynasty sanctuary Saint George in Yeraknya, laid flowers at the tomb of Victor Hovsepyan. Spiritual fathers offered Requiem Service.
In the village’s N1 Public School after Victor Hovsepyan, the youngest daughter of the poet, Director of the school Bernik Hovsepyan presented the corner dedicated to Victor Hovsepyan. The schoolchildren recited and sang Hovsepyan’s poems written for children.
In the afternoon, the club of Heshtia was crowded. On the occasion of the day, in attendance were Member of Parliament of Georgia Henzel Mkoyan, 42969344 2144899565574860 1681240806008029184 nMayor of Ninotsminda Anivard Mosoyan, Chairman of Ninotsminda Municipality Assembly (Sakrebulo) Smbat Kyureghyan, as well as representatives of the administration of Ninotsminda and Akhalkalaki regions, public, cultural, educational organizations, numerous guests.
Rev. Father Tatev Marukyan conveyed the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. The President of the “Vernatun” Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia, poet Zhora Snkhchyan; poet and translator Givi Shahnazar, literary critic, Candidate of Philological Sciences Norayr Ghazaryan (Yerevan, Republic of Armenia) as well as Director of the school named after Monte Melkonyan in the village of Zorak, Ararat Province (Republic of Armenia) Tigran Babakhanyan delivered speeches. The dance and song ensemble of the House of Culture of Ninotsminda and dance ensemble of Heshtia performed at the concert. The Singer Armen Mkoyan presented his wonderful performances.    
After the concert, the participants of the event left for home with hope to meet each other again next year on the same occasion, in the same place…
