Friendship and cooperation, which are established between “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex in Yerevan and Tbilisi Public School № 98, have lasted for several years. The Republic of Armenia Ministry of Education in the framework of the cooperation project approved the program "Armenia-Georgia: Educational Bridges", and in these days the students of “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex together with the teachers and the principal visited Tbilisi School № 98.

On 27 March guests from Yerevan visited the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia. Van Baiburtian, Advisor to the President of Georgia and the editor of "Vrastan" ("Georgia"), Adviser of Armenian Embassy to Georgia Levon Torgomyan, the principal of “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex Ashot Bleyan, the principal of Tbilisi Public School № 98 Giorgi Momtsemlidze, the principal of Tbilisi Municipal Art School № 1 named after Soliko Virsaladze Ketevan Barnabishvili, Tbilisi and Yerevan schoolchildren attended the meeting.

Ashot Bleyan presented to the audience the activities of “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex, those projects that are undertaken in conjunction with Tbilisi Public School № 98, and told about the projects and plans for the future. The principal of the Educational Complex especially highlighted methodology of the Georgian language studying, which is elected by students as the third foreign language among other European languages. As an example, Shagane Megryan , who had moved from Megri to Yerevan, told in Georgian about the unforgettable days spent in Tbilisi and sang a Georgian song.

Then the speakers appreciated the friendship bridges, which are built through joint activities, exchange visits and friendship between students of these schools.

The principal of Tbilisi Municipal Art School № 1 named after Soliko Virsaladze Ketevan Barnabishvili welcomed the friendly cooperation between the two schools, and expressed a desire to introduce innovative studies of the Armenian language at her school, following the example of “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex.

The Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan blessed the audience and underlined the cultural richness and centuries-old friendship of these ancient Christian nations. He promised to support and assist the administration of S. Virsaladze School in the implementation of the Armenian language studies.

The students of “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex introduced a video and presented etudes. Singers Anna Pogosova and Genrikh Petrosyan showed wonderful performance for the guests from Yerevan.
