Concerts-reports of creative groups were performed at “Hayartun” center of the Armenian diocese PDF Print E-mail

On June 22nd the concert performed at the large hall of the “Hayartun” center became a unique way of reporting about the results of last year’s work of different creative groups. The adviser to Armenian embassy in Georgia Karen Melikyan, spiritual leaders of the diocese, the management of “Hayartun”, parents and gusts attended the concert. The event began with prayers and blessings of the head of the diocese bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan.

At the presence of “Hayartun’s” director Levon Chidilyan, the chorus named after Makar Yekmalyan performed polyphonic classical songs under the leadership of Hovhannes Hambartsumyan, followed by the performance of Armenian national instruments dhol and duduk, (tutors – Ivane Mkrtchyan and Robert Kashavidze) accompanied by stage pop instruments together with solo performances of Marianna Sahakyan and Ani Hovhannisyan. Under the leadership of actor Samvel Elbakyan, musician Vladimir Asaturov together with the poetry club members read and sang Sayat-Nova’s masterpieces. The performances reflected the results of group leaders Maria Abulyan’s, Hovhannes Hambartsumyan’s, duduk and dhol tutors Ivane Mkrtchyan’s and Robert Kashvadze’s, musician Vladimir Asaturov’s and actor Samvel Elbakyan’s hard work.

Under the leadership of veteran teacher Maria Abulyan, “Nerses Shnorhali” ensemble, which existed since the day of “Hayartun’s” inception, concluded the concert with Armenian and Georgian singing performances.

The head of the diocese bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan praised this report/performance by “Hayartun” center. Mirzakhanyan thanked the head of the cultural and artistic departments Levon Chidilyan and Pavel Oganezov respectively, for their efforts in moving the creative groups in the right direction. The head of the diocese ended his speech with hopes for new groups to be opened in the future and commandments in preserving and presenting Tbilisi Armenian culture in the best possible way.
