On September 27, 2018, the Evening Service, offered at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi, was honored with the presence of the delegation of the German Lutheran Church Synod members from Wurttemberg region, Germany, led by the Primate of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Marcus Shokh. The delegation included Synod Vice President Temur Bardavelidze, members of the Synod of the Evangelical church of Stuttgart, faithful of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia. The guests were welcomed by Rev. Father Manuk Zeynalyan, the Pastor of the Cathedral of Saint George of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the Priest Rev. Father Kirakos Simonyan. The guests attended the Evening Service. Afterwards, they prayed under the arches of the Armenian Church. At the end of the Evening Service, Rev. Father Manuk Zeynalyan welcomed the faithful of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and conveyed the blessings and greetings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. Rev. Father Manuk presented the guests the frescos illustrated by the talented representatives of Hovnatanyan family, told the history of the church and invited the guests to the refectory where hospitality took place. Around the tea table, Rev Father Manuk informed the guests about the Armenian community in Georgia, the formation of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and other issues. The German guests talked about relationships with the Armenian community of Stuttgart, highlighted their participation in the annual events for commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims, the support by the Armenian community to the acceptance of Syrian refugees, as well as about the participation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Armenian Church in Ecumenical Prayer which take place in Stuttgart every year. The tea party with the German guests took place in a question-and-answer format, in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
