A1According to the tradition the day of the Feast of St. Ghevond the Priest and His Companions is the day of the clergy. The Feast is dedicated to the blessed memory of the Armenian priests who fought alongside St. Vartan and the entire Armenian Nation for their Christian faith in the 1Battle of Avarayr. The day is celebrated on different days every year, and this year it was celebrated on February 6.

On the Feast of St. Ghevond the Priest and His Companions; at the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian 2Diocese in Georgia, a Divine Liturgy was offered at the Holy Cross Church in Akhalkalaki.

During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant, Rev. Father Yeghishe Harutyunyan, Pastor of Akhalkalaki and nearby villages; in his sermon reflected on the wonder and significance of the feast. Father Yeghishe conveyed to the clergy the fatherly love and warm wishes of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. On the occasion of the feast, Father Yeghishe congratulated the clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church wishing them to continue to serve with the same spirit for the Glory of God and the vibrancy of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.
