“Golden Autumn Boons” Event in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Kindergarten |

On November 13, 2017, “Golden Autumn Boons” event was held in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Kindergarten of the Alexander Mantashev Educational Cultural Youth Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The occasion was honored with the presence of Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi Yeghishe Sargsyan; and Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan, Pastor of Armenians in Ajara, Guria, Imereti, and the Surb Prkich Church (Saint Savior). In attendance were parents, teachers and guests. The hall was crowded. Everyone was in a great mood. Director of the Alexander Mantashev Center, Sona Hovhannisyan gave opening remarks. She mentioned that despite the fact that the weather in autumn is cold and gloomy, on the children’s cheerful and bright planet, in joyful songs and dances autumn brings its joy. The preschool students with eyes shining brightly, with clear and correct pronunciation, joyful songs ignited the hearts of their parents and people present. At the conclusion of the event, Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan offered his appreciation and blessing remarks. The Pastor of local Armenians transmitted paternal love and good wishes of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan; to the attendees. He expressed satisfaction at the work that had been completed to organize the event, encouraging both children and teachers. Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi Yeghishe Sargsyan said he admired spoken Armenian, beautiful recitation and joyful songs. Following the event, under the song about Ghapama the attendees enjoyed the boons of the autumn and traditional Armenian dish – ghapama. |
