The Hayartun Cultural Educational and Youth Center’s (the Armenian Diocese in Georgia) reputation for excellence has spread far beyond Tbilisi and our country’s borders. The delegation of the cultural department of Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district, led by the Head of the Youth Creativity Center, the Head of the British animal welfare charity Pro Paws in Armenia, Nare Aramyan, arrived in Tbilisi to be directly introduced to the pro-national activities of the educational foundation and to establish cooperation.

On May 6, 2017, the guests from Armenia were welcomed at the Hayartun Cultural Educational and Youth Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

Head of the Cultural Department in the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Levon Chidilyan introduced to the members of the delegation the goal setting activities of the Hayartun Center, highlighting the works directed at spreading of the Armenian language, the development of the national culture, the preservation of national traditions, providing Armenian children with Armenian education and upbringing in Georgia.

Later, the Hayartun Center and the Youth Creativity Center of Shengavit Administrative District signed a memorandum of cooperation, which will become a platform for the strengthening of relations, exchange of experiences, and the enhancement of cooperation in different spheres with the help of official and business delegations. The Head of the Hayartun Center and the Head of the Youth Creativity Center of Shengavit signed the memorandum of cooperation.

Being witness to the lesson at the Saint Gregory of Narek Sunday school, musical performance presented by the Saint Nerses Shnorhali Youth Choir, activities at the Saint Movses Khorenatsi Preschool, the guests unanimously highlighted that everything had exceeded all expectations, and presented the Head of the Educational Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Eugenia Markosyan, and choirmaster of the Saint Nerses Shnorhali Youth Choir, Maria Abulyan, a Certificate of Appreciation for their zealous dedication.

The teachers of the British animal welfare charity Pro Paws in Armenia, Alla Arzumanyan and Karine Panosyan, gave a lesson and conducted a training session for the preschool students and the choir members, spoke about the proper treatment and rights of animals.

The delegation included Araksiya Levonyan, the representative of the cultural department of the administrative district, and the technical services manager Marine Shahinyan. The guests were accompanied by Tinatin Chavchanidze, a member of the Tbilisi-based Committee for Animal Rights.
