Distribution of Easter presents has already become a tradition for the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, particularly in the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Avlabari. Willing to bring festive mood to people in need the Armenian faithful in Tbilisi provide assistance to vulnerable population.

Implementation of this initiative has been undertaken this year as well.

On April 14 and 15, 2017, in the two churches in Tbilisi, at the initiative of Church-loving Women’s Association at the Cathedral of Saint George and the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik”, with the support of Godfathers of the churches, Yuri Yeremyan and Karen Sargsyan, and the faithful, over 100 socially vulnerable families and disabled elderly people living alone received presents the day before the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For the last few years, the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik” (the Chairman, Susanna Khachatryan) has organized a charitable campaign with the support of the Diocesan Headquarters and the clergy of two churches in Tbilisi.

The faithful of the Armenian Church participate in distribution of Easter presents with readiness and pleasure.
