The Alexander Mantashev Center Hosted a Duduk Players Concert PDF Print E-mail

At the invitation of Armenians of Ajara and Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan, Pastor of the Surb Prkich Church (Saint Savior) in Batumi, the students of Hrazdan Art School after Yervand Kochar, Republic of Armenia, led by Suren Minasyan, visited the Alexander Mantashev Educational Cultural Youth Center in Batumi.

On June 21, 2016, the guests gave a beautiful concert. The art school students performed on an ancient Armenian musical instrument – duduk music pieces by Armenian and Georgian composers; they impressed the audience and were welcomed with warm applause.

In attendance was a group of children from Tavush region, led by Mary Tukhikyan, the Director of the “Arevik” Children’s Social Center at the Primacy of Tavush Patriarchal Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who came to visit Batumi at the invitation of Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan.

The Director of the Alexander Mantashev Center, Sona Hovhannisyan welcomed the students of Hrazdan Art School after Yervand Kochar and extended her appreciation for the organization of the splendid concert. The Director of the Center awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to the young duduk players for their artistic performance on the national instrument. Rev. Fr. Ararat Gumbalyan offered his blessings and presented everyone a gift - the Children's Bible.
