On April 12, 2015 a public lecture entitled “Hrant Dink and the Armenian Genocide” was held in the Hayartun Center at the initiative of the Union of Armenian Intellectuals of Georgia.

The Chairman of the Union of Armenian Intellectuals of Georgia, Enok Tadevosyan introduced “Agos” newspaper journalist and philologist Tsovinar Simonyan-Lokmagyozyan, who was lucky enough to work with Hrant Dink many years. She gave a speech about the life and activities of Hrant Dink, who was best known for advocating human and minority rights of Armenians, Kurds, Greeks, Assyrians in Turkey and was assassinated. He was strongly committed to make Turkish government officially recognize the Armenian Genocide.

The speaker also refered to the positive developments in Turkish society; many Turkish leading minds already speak openly about the massacres committed against the Armenian people and even write articles and books on this topic.

The audience listened carefully Tsovinar Simonyan-Lokmagyozyan’s speech and thanked her for the valuable information provided.
