The Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Attended the Inauguration of the Newly Elected Georgian President PDF Print E-mail

On November 17 the inauguration of the newly elected President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili took place. The Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan was invited to take part in the solemn ceremony.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness, Ilia II, the leading officials from executive, legislative and judicial bodies of Georgia, guests and official delegations from different countries, as well as representatives of different communities and traditional religious organizations of Georgia attended the official inauguration ceremony of the President, in the courtyard of parliament building located on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.

Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbanyan, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsesyan, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Hovhannes Manoukian and diplomats of RA Embassy to Georgia Vahagn Afyan and Artak Kalachyan.

The Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan participated in the ceremony, accompanied by Levon Isakhanyan, the Head of the Department of the Relationship with the State at the Diocese.
