A1On December 12, 2018, another slide show form the “Unknowns about well-known…” series took place at the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. Famous miniaturist Gohar Hakobyan told about and showed through slides the rare historical and cultural monuments, sanctuaries and castles of Artsakh which she had visited during her recent travel to the regions of Askeran, Hadrut and Martuni in Artsakh. 47792742
The speaker carried out this trip within the borders of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic until 1988. She told about the villages of Srabek, Dashushen, Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, Melik Yegan and his 9th generation, villagers of Brnigegh. She presented the architectural style and historical fate of churches and monasteries, described geographical location and strategic significance and explained the name of each monument.
Mikhail Tadevosov and Artem Kirakozov thanked for the interesting and colorful slides and meaningful explanations.

At the conclusion of the event, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan blessed the attendees and expressed his appreciation. The Diocesan Primate highly appreciated Gohar Hakobyan’s love and interest towards history, spiritual and cultural monuments of Artsakh, highlighted her aspiration to convey her knowledge to the attendees, urged to continue with the same enthusiasm present the unknown pages of famous places.
The colorful slide show made a great impression on the attendees.
