On November 22, 2018, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan presided over a clergy meeting with the participation of priests from the region which took place in the hall of Archbishop Karapet Bagratouni Center (Akhalkalaki) of the Samtskhe – Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. During the meeting, the current issues of the General Prelacy were discussed first, then, the diocesan parochial charter and its implementation in communities was touched upon.
The Diocesan Primate gave a recommendatory to the spiritual communities to become autonomous and self-sufficient, based on the principles of the charter.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the priests and deacons asked questions to the Diocesan Primate and received answers.
After the meeting, His Grace, accompanied by the representatives of clergy, took part in the Ground Blessing Service of Georgian Orthodox All Saints church which was attended by the governor of Samtskhe – Javakheti, members of Parliament, state officials, as well as high – ranking clergymen of the Georgian Church.
