Children from the Diocese of Gegharkounik hosted in Kobuleti PDF Print E-mail

AFor the third consecutive year, with the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the hospitality and joyful and interesting holiday for the children from different regions of the Republic of Armenia was organized in the city on the shore of the Black Sea.
In 2018, this charitable initiative, which has become a tradition of the Saint Savior (Surb Prkich) church in Batumi, has not been violated. Days of vacation on the shore of the Black Sea became unforgettable for 16 children from different regions of Gegharkounik province, who were hosted in Kobuleti from August 28 to September 4, led by the pastor of the Martuni region of the Gegharkounik Diocese Rev. Father Gevorg Ter Barseghyan. They enjoyed the sea and the beauties of the coastal city.
As a result of organizational and initiative efforts of pastor of Armenians in Adjara, Guria, Imereti and the Saint Savior (Surb Prkich) church in Batumi Ararat Gumbalyan, the children’s transportation and staying at the hotels, as well as the tour in Batumi and Kobuleti was properly arranged.
The day was also joyful and interesting at the Alexander Mantashev Educational, Cultural and Youth Center in Batumi of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. On the initiative of the Center’s director, teachers and activists various games, competitions, meetings and discussions were organized for Armenian teenagers. 2
The hosted teenagers also participated in the Sunday Divine Liturgy, celebrated by Rev. Father Gevorg Ter Barseghyan, accompanied by tbirs (clerk) in the Saint Savior church in Batumi.
The charitable initiative for children from Gegharkounik province was organized by Geneva TOURS travel agency, headed by Ara Marukyan, various hotel complexes, led by Grigor Mkrtchyan, Edward Mikayelyan, Nara Galstyan, as well as Bus-Voyage Transportation Company, which provided children with a trip to Batumi and their return to home.
Teenagers from Gegharkounik province, their pastor and those who accompanied them expresses their deep gratitude to the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Pastor of the Saint Savior church in Batumi, Director and staff of the Alexander Mantashev Educational, Cultural and Youth Center, sponsoring organizations and faithful who hosted the guests from the Motherland and gave them happy and unforgettable days.
