On May 25, 2018, the walls of the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of “Hayartun” Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia were decorated with paintings of talented violinist Gary Nalbandian. After presentation of his paintings at “Surb Grigor Narekatsi” (“Saint Gregory of Narek”) Spiritual, Educational, Cultural and Youth Center in Rustavi, Gary Nalbandian presented his works to the art lover Armenians of Tbilisi. Feelings in his inner world, expressed in violin performances during recent years were replaced by paintings, which presents artist’s emotions. Although the latter considers himself a self-taught artist, who is unaware of artistic rules, his all works (more than three dozen) presented at the exhibition were valuable art works. Using right combination of colors, the artist has created landscape, still life paintings in realistic and sue-realistic genres, presenting natural phenomenon, human concrete character, philosophical and psychological perception of the world and various feelings. Members of Armenian communities in Tbilisi and Rustavi, artists, painters, musicians came to have a look at the expressions of inner world of the artist reflected on his canvases. Levon Chidilyan, head of the “Hayartun” Center and Department of Culture of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia offered opening remarks. The latter highly appreciated Gary Nalbandian's creative world, his ability to express his environment and thoughts through paintings. Levon Chidilyan congratulated the artist on the occasion of opening his personal exhibition, emphasized importance of the opportunity given to Armenians of Tbilisi to see the paintings. In their speeches, Meruzhan Shahumyan, Giorgi Manoyan, Valiko Arakelov Levon Osipov, Inna Davitashvili and others highly appreciated the works of talented musician and artist. Speech of Vice President of “Lukoil” Alex Skvartsov was remarkable. The latter is also a self – taught painter, he has been acquainted with Gary Nalbandian's works through the Internet and was delighted with Nalbandian's works and highly valued his realistic paintings, which reflect different emotions and feelings. Rev. Father Narek Ghushchyan, Pastor of Armenians of Rustavi gave closing remarks. Presented works are the expressions of the inner world of author created with the same talent, enthusiasm and aspiration. Presented paintings were different, mysterious, with interesting titles, realistic, in the same time imaginary, non realistic. Gary Nalbandian's works will be shown at “Hayartun” Center until June 1st.
