The Feast of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated with Divine Liturgies and cultural events in Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Georgia.

On April 7, 2018, joyful festive mood was spread in the village of Mamzara in Ninotsminda region. The residents of the village were gathered in the Saint Mesrop Mashtots church, where the celebrant was the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan.

Rev. Father Tatev Marukyan, pastor of Akhalkalaki and nearby villages, together with the pilgrims from Akhalkalaki attended the Liturgy.

Rev. Father Armash Poghosyan, pastor of Saint Sargis church in Ninotsminda of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and nearby villages, was properly prepared for the Divine Liturgy of the day.

During the Divine Liturgy, the Diocesan Primate congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, told about feasts of the Mother of God and the mystery of Saint Mary in the Armenian Church. He congratulated all mothers and sisters, who had gathered in the church, on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation and the Day of Motherhood.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy in the Saint Mesrop Mashtots church in Mamzara, the “Voices of Javakhk” Choir (conductor Gayane Aghajanyan) of the Cultural Center of Akhalkalaki's Prelacy had prepared a nice surprise for people who had gathered in the church courtyard. The Choir performed folk songs for them and made the day more solemn and truly festive.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, flowers were given to women and girls by the Godfather of the church.

On that day, pastor Rev. Father Tadeos Ter – Mkrtchyan celebrated festive Divine Liturgy in the Surb Mariam Astvatsatsin (the Saint Mary, Holy Mother of God) church in the village of Merenia, in Akhalkalaki region.

Rev. Father Hakob Sahakyan, spiritual superintendant of the Saint Gregory the Illuminator church in Akhaltsikhe, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Surb Astvatsatsin (the Holy Mother of God) church in the village of Ghulalis in Akhaltsikhe region.

On the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Divine Liturgies were celebrated in the Surb Prkich (Saint Savior) church in Batumi and Saint Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari in Tbilisi. Festive events were organized and mothers, future mothers and girls received congratulations and flowers in the Saint Gevorg Cathedral in Tbilisi and “Rafael Javakh” and “Hayartun” Educational, Cultural and Youth Centers.
