A1According to the rules of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, after Evening Service a new day begins. On March 31, 2018, on Holy Saturday evening, on the occasion of the Feast of The Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Candlelight Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The temple torches and lamps lit on that day and the curtains of the church tabernacle opened. Burning candles were distributed to the people, after which the Divine Liturgy was celebrated.
The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan celebrated a Divine Liturgy in the Saint Gevorg Cathedral, in Tbilisi. Members of the Tbilisi-Armenian community, guests and faithful were present at the sacred ceremony.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan thoroughly commented on the mystery of the day, spoke in detail about Jesus Christ's great love towards humanity and His crucifixion for the salvation of people. The Lord became that divine light, towards which the people's love never ends, faith towards the power never fades and disappear, but leads people to the kindness and light.
In the evening the Candlelight Divine Liturgy was celebrating. With the Candlelight Service of the Easter the week of sufferings of Lord, ended and His Resurrection from the dead happened. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan proclaimed the glad tidings of Our Lord Jesus Christ's Glorious Resurrection.  In the end of the Divine Liturgy the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was proclaiming:1 “Christ is risen!” “He is risen indeed! ” With these glad tidings the Great Lent ended.
The faithful kindly congratulated each other on the occasion of our Lord Jesus Christ's being alive from the dead.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Diocesan Primate congratulated the faithful on the occasion of Jesus Christ's Glorious Resurrection and wished peace, progress and development to Armenia, Georgia and Artsakh.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy faithful lit candles from lowered candelabrum and returned to their home received blessings of the Savior and taking with them the Holy Light of our Lord's Resurrection. Then the Home Blessing Service took place. Bread, water and salt were blessed.
By the initiative of the “Church-loving Women's Association” and Yuri Yeremyan, Godfather of the cross of Blessing of the Water; the faithful had a treat in the courtyard of the Saint Gevorg church. The people continued to visit the church until midnight.
