On March 31, 2018, on the eve of the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ or the Easter Feast; Easter gifts were distributed to the faithful in the churches of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
The charity event was initiated by the spiritual servants of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, “Shushanik” Union of Armenian Women of Georgia, groups of church – loved women, volunteers and individual benefactors. Many needy, lonely and elderly, as well as large families received gifts with festive goodies from benefactors. For this purpose modest sum was collected by godfathers of church cross, “Bebos lavashi” (“Grandma's lavash”) and “Mayisbar” companies, the family of the late Hasmik Sargsyan, benefactors and faithful.
Before the distribution of the gifts, the spiritual fathers conveyed the paternal blessings and congratulations on forthcoming Easter of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. The faithful and participants of the charity event gathered in the church and all together with spiritual servants prayed for the glory of the Armenian Church and Almighty God.
The distribution of the gifts is implementing by the initiative of the spiritual servants for many years, but this year in the charity event were involved church – loved women with the participation of the deaconess and volunteers.
