“The Mystery of Great Human’s Genius” event took place at “Rafael Javakh” Center PDF Print E-mail

1On 18 March, 2018, an event entitled “The Mystery of Great Geniuses” took place at “Rafael Javakh” Cultural and Youth center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, in Ninotsminda. It was one more event initiated by “Rafael Javakh” Educational, Cultural and Youth Center. It was dedicated to Mkhitar Gohsh and Vardan of Aygek, the great Armenian writers, authors of fables, spiritual figures.

Rev. Father Armash Poghosyan, the Pastor of Ninotsminda region and nearby villages, Zhora Snkhchyan, poet, the director of the Center; students, their parents, teachers and numerous guests attended the event.2

By the efforts of the organizers Anahit Sahakyan, head of the Armenian people history group and Rima Sahakyan, conductor of the Armenian religion history group; the event not only had an informational and cognitive content, but also was saturated with fiction. It informed the audience about the life and work of the medieval great figures. Some fables were theatricalized and made modern due to its advices and conclusions.

3Rev. Father Armash Poghosyan welcomed the event, conveyed the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and highly appreciated the event. Zhora Snkhchyan, the head of the Center in his speech touched upon the works of Mkhitar Gosh (“Datastanagirk” - “Code of Laws”) and Vardan of Aygek as a collection of the civil and Canon laws, which are the largest and most valuable works of the Middle Ages in Armenia thanks to their content and details. He noticed that more than 30 fables, created by Vardan of Aygek gave start to the genre of fabulous speech.

The event “The Mystery of Great Geniuses” took place in the atmosphere of church love, obedience to laws and education of the students with the mystery of fables.
