Eighteen students that graduate this year from the Saint Movses Khorenatsi Preschool at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia will continue their education in public schools. The good news is that eleven of them plan to attend Armenian schools – ten have chosen Tbilisi № 104 Armenian school and one - № 103 Armenian-Georgian Public school. It has become a good tradition for the Saint Movses Khorenatsi Preschool to escort kindergarten graduates to future school, introduce them to the school administrators, and submit filled applications and appropriate documents of future first graders. On May 4, 2015, led by the Educational Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the Head of the Saint Movses Khorenatsi Preschool, Eugenia Markosyan, and the Director of the Cultural Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Levon Chidilyan, and accompanied by their parents ten preschool students visited № 104 School and underwent the process of registration. The School Director, Irina Zhamkochyan, and the Head of Studies, Almari Siradegyan, welcomed the children. The children passed interviews with the School Director and the Head of Studies, where they showed their knowledge of the Armenian language, mathematics, demonstrated the Armenian and Georgian flags, performed the national anthems of the two countries. The School Director and the Head of Studies were satisfied and thanked the Director of the Hayartun Center and the Preschool Director for recommending well-prepared and educated children to their school. Balloons were distributed to the children. On the basis of appropriate and necessary documents and applications filled by the parents, the eleven students of the Saint Movses Khorenatsi Preschool at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia will begin their education in the Armenian schools for the public school years 2017-2018. |
