On March 11, 2017, at the initiative of the Cultural Department (Director, Levon Chidilyan), the Department of Youth Affairs (Director, Valeri Badalyan), the Department of Education (Director, Eugenia Markosyan) of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the students of St. Gregory of Narek Saturday School and the students of the creative groups of the Hayartun Center went on excursion to Georgian National Museum Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts. The excursion for almost sixty students of different ages was organized under the direction of the diocesan officials and in the company of teachers and parents. It is worthy of note that the halls of Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts hosted the exhibition of masterpieces from Museum collection. The exhibition proudly displayed unique masterpieces of Georgian and world art preserved in the Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition showcased works by Bernardo Daddi, Lucas Cranach (Elder), Guido Reni, Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Vassily Kandinski, Robert Falk; Masterpieces by Niko Pirosmanashvili, Lado Gudiashvili and David Kakabadze. Various purpose artifacts made of stone, bone, metal and clay from archaeological excavations conducted in different regions of Georgia were displayed in the museum. The cultural excursion was memorable and left a deep impression on the Hayartun Center’s students, as the visitors had the possibility to view masterpieces and outstanding pieces of art from all the collections of Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine arts. |
