On July 12, 2016, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted a meeting with Armenian modern poetess of Georgia, translator, the Head of the “Vrastan” Newsletter (“Georgia”) Subscription an Delivery Service, a member of the “Vernatun” Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia, the president of NGO “Kamurj” for the Armenian-Georgian Literary Relations, the Head of Armenian Department at the Union of Writers of Georgia – Anahit Bostanjyan. The event was initiated by the “Armenian Center for Scientific Research in Georgia” NGO, within the framework of a series of “Meetings with Armenian intellectuals of Georgia”.

Professor Emma Akhtyan, the Head of the aforementioned NGO, in her opening remarks, spoke about the career of Anahit Bostanjyan.

The President of the “Vernatun” Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia, the Head of Culture, Education, Sports and Monument Protection Service (Ninotsminda Municipality), Zhora Snkhchyan appreciated the work of translator Anahit Bostanjyan, who connects Armenian and Georgian literatures, and gave the sister of the quill a piece of advice - to continue the gratifying work.

Speeches were made by attendees of the meeting, who presented professional and personal image of poetess, translator and journalist, Anahit Bostanjyan. A short video highlighting the meetings of Anahit Bostanjyan with Armenian and Georgian artists was on hand.

Anahit Bostanjyan’s poems, as well as her translations from Georgian poetry and Russian translations of her poems were recited during the event.

Poetess and translator from Russia, a member of the Writers Union of Armenia, Naira Simonyan read congratulatory message sent by Irina Simonyan on Anahit Bostanjyan’s poems being included on “Modern Poets” anthology issued in Surgut.

Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan, Pastor of the Saint Gevorg Cathedral in Tbilisi, transmitted to Anahit Bostanjyan the blessings and paternal love from His Holiness Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

At the end of the event Anahit Bostanjyan expressed her sincere appreciation and warm gratitude to the people present.
