On October 29, 2015, the Hayartun Cultural, Educational and Youth Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted a meeting with Aren Apikyan, the Director of IDeA Foundation's 100 LIVES Project and poetess composer Marine Ales.

In his opening speech, the Head of the Cultural Department at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and Director of the Hayartun Center, Levon Chidilyan introduced guests to the people present and spoke about their personal creed and area of activity. Director of the Hayartun Center mentioned a photography exhibition “Heirs of the Armenian Genocide Survivors” featuring trilingual stories, dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, which was held in the Hayartun Center.

100 LIVES tell their stories, which should never be forgotten, convey the truth to the future generations, show the world the true horror of the genocide in order to prevent similar crimes in the future. The goal of aforementioned initiative (one of the most active projects of IDeA Foundation) are activities, including evenings of poetry and music, film screenings, publishing of books and albums in different corners of the world, aimed at the international recognition and condemnation of Armenian Genocide, - said the Project Director Aren Apikyan.

Poetess and composer Marine Ales, being the descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors, revealed the story of the Vardanyan family, one of the 100 LIVES who survived, took a journey and settled in the homeland, and today as a representative of reborn Armenian nation, praises her motherland and people.

Marine Ales spoke about her creative work. With songs and poems that come from the heart she showed respect to the memory of the conferred to sainthood 1,5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide and paid homage to her ancestors.

The event included performances of Marine Ales’s songs by the talented soloists of the Hayartun Center Anna Badalyan, Nina Karapetyan, the Saint Nerses Shnorhali Children’s Choir (Choirmaster – Maria Abulyan and Pianist – Karen Mirzoyan), which was appreciated highly by the songwriter and earned applause from the audience.

The guest as a token of appreciation for promotion of Armenian culture, particularly the Armenian singing art, presented the Hayartun Center with 45 traditional man’s suits and women’s national clothes within the framework of the IDeA Foundation's 100 LIVES project.

Talented composer Marine Ales received the warmth and love of the choir’s young members and was presented with the painting of Old Tbilisi by famous artist Tengiz Mikoyants.
