Representatives of Different Armenia Government Agencies Are Impressed With the “Hayartun” Center’s Work PDF Print E-mail

On October 13-16, 2015, representatives of different Armenia government agencies visited Tbilisi. The visit was funded by European Union within the framework of the project “The strengthening of positive socio-economic impact of migration in Armenia for a better future”. Delegation, headed by Serena Fusco, the International Committee for the Development of Peoples representative, and the project coordinator Kristina Hayrapetyan, participated in the conference “The Diaspora Potential for Homeland Prosperity”, organized by the State Ministry on Diaspora Issues of Georgia in Tbilisi. Members of the Armenian delegation participated in different meetings at Georgia government agencies.

The delegation upon arrival in Tbilisi was bound in honor to visit the Saint Etchmiadzin Church. The delegation members lit candles and prayed in the old Armenian church and paid a visit to the “Hayartun” Cultural, Educational and Youth Center. The guests saw the “Artists of Saint Etchmiadzin in Tbilisi” Exhibition in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall, Sunday school classrooms and St. Movses Khorenatsi Kindergarten.

The Director of the “Hayartun” Center, Levon Chidilyan told the guests about the center’s work and activities. He spoke about the idea to create a center with a historic name, the benefactors and founders who supported the initiative, and how busy the life at the “Hayartun” Center is today. The pictures shown on the monitor proved Levon Chidilyan’s words.

The delegation included Hambardzoum Abrahamyan from the State Migration Service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration, Haykaz Igityan from the Central Bank, Maria Saponjyan from the Ministry of Economy et al. The representatives of different Armenian NGO’s, international organizations and government agencies asked questions. The guests were impressed with what they had seen and expressed their satisfaction in the guestbook.
