On June 27, 2015, an open lesson of the Hayartun Center’s Duduk, Dhol and Recitation classes (dhol teacher – Ivane Mkrtchyan, duduk teacher – Robert Kashavanidze, recitation teacher - actor Samvel Elbakyan) was conducted in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the center.

Through the vivid sounds of dhol, the gentle sounds of duduk and with the use of Armenian poetry, the students presented Sayat-Nova’s philosophy, and also presented a warlike dance of Sassoun, featuring the Armenian language and the Armenian world.

Among the audience were community officials, a benefactor from Novosibirsk, guests from Moscow, and members of Tbilisi’s Armenian intelligentsia. They were impressed by the performances and appreciated highly the patriotic work performed by the center.

The Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan blessed the audience and praised the teachers, students and parents for their dedication to Armenian education and encouraged them to continue the classes.
