On March 29, 2015 the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church festively celebrated Palm Sunday, which symbolizes the entrance of Our Lord Jesus Christ to Jerusalem. This day is declared as a day for Blessing of Children by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The church and its courtyard were crowded. Following morning services, the Divine Liturgy was offered. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan spoke about the sacrament of Palm Sunday and referred to several episodes of the last earthly days of Christ. Then His Grace offered a special Blessing of the Children Service.

Fathers were blessing the branches and distributing them to the parish as a symbol of a special gift and solemnity. Palm Sunday was also celebrated in the churches of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Batumi.
