New Year and Christmas sanctified holidays are the source of hope and faith for our people, the source of new deeds and visions and incentive for new achievements.

2014 was a year of success and new heights for Armenian believers of Georgia: the cross-stones (khachkars) have been erected in Tbilisi, Damala village near Aspindza, Mamzara village near Ninotsminda and in Ninotsminda city in connection with the coming 100^th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Many commemoration events were organized. Armenians of Georgia together with the Motherland celebrated May Victory Day, Independence Day, Introduction of Armenian Alphabet, 100th anniversary of Sayat-Nova Festival of Roses, traditionally celebrated Teryan, Jivani, Havasi, Aghayan and Hovsepyan days. Our community participated in different pan Armenian festivals and programs. Armenians of Georgia became familiar with Armenia’s and Artsakh’s sightseeing places through pilgrimage, participated strongly in Georgia’s, Tbilisi’s various programs and events. Many educational-cultural and youth centers and non-profit organizations have been established during this year, resulting in a useful participation in community life. Creative atmosphere was retained, and the Armenians of Georgia had a chance to enjoy the works of its great in the field of theatre, classical music, national song and dance, literature and art. The construction of churches continues both in Javakheti and in Tbilisi. And all this became possible with the blessing and support of His Holiness Catholicos Karegin II, by the fair donations from our benefactors, with the support of our partners and most important, thanks to the work accomplished by our people, clergy, diocese representatives and community officials.

The visit of the president of Serzh Sargsyan (RA President), Galust Sahakyan (President of the RA National Assembly), and Hovik Abrahamyan (Prime Minister) to Tbilisi’s Armenian Church and Hayartun Center was to Armenians of Gerogia the greatest joy. Our meetings with Giorgi Margvelashvili (Georgian President) and Irakli Gharibashvili (Prime Minister) were important in discussing on high-level the most relevant concerns of Armenians of Georgia. We continue brotherly relationship with Georgian Orthodox Church.

Dear brothers and sisters, coming year 2015 is of utmost importance for our Motherland Armenia, Artsakh and diaspora. Armenians, who survived the genocide and are deprived from their homeland, should be more united, consistent and responsible when seeking to justice, implementation of national goals and compensation. We believe in Armenian triumphant present and bright future. We have our mission in this world and goals yet unachieved. Let the God born in the manger in Bethlehem bless our Christ-loving and patriotic nation, keep Armenia and Georgia in peace, warm millennial friendship of both nations, strengthen the cooperation of Armenian Apostolic and Georgian Orthodox Churches for the glory of infinite spiritual joy and family happiness of believers.
