The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia had a meeting with the Chairman of Tbilisi City Assembly PDF Print E-mail

On November 4, 2014 the Chairman of Tbilisi Assembly (Sakrebulo) Giorgi Alibegashvili welcomed the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan in his residence. The Director of Legal Affairs and Cooperation Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Levon Isakhanyan, also attended the meeting.

The Primate congratulated Mr. Alibegashvili on being elected for such a responsible position and wished great success to him.

They had a conversation about the improvement of territories around Armenian churches in the city. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia introduced the issues on improving the territories around St. Echmiadzin church in Tbilisi, as well as the issues of transformation of adjacent buildings.

In his turn the director of Legal Affairs and Cooperation Department, Levon Isakhanyan, turned to the Chairma of Tbilisi City Assembly with the offer of involving the educated young people in practice at corresponding structures of the Assembly.

The Chairman of Tbilisi City Assembly referred to the questions raised, and expressed his readiness to support the Armenian Diocese in Georgia on possible problems. Mr. Alibegashvili promised to study and submit the questions raised by the Primate.

The Primate thanked for the sincere and warm welcome.
