On October 27, 2014, a member of Parliament of Georgia, a leader of the ruling “Georgian Dream” coalition, Zakaria Kutsnashvili had a meeting with the representatives of the Armenian community. The meeting took place in the Parliament of Georgia.

The meeting was devoted to the questions concerning the policy of the ruling coalition and the questions concerning the Armenian society in the country.

The meeting was organized by the educational, cultural and youth center “Hayartun” within the framework of the project “Political participation through dialogue”, funded by “Open society – Georgia”. The web page of the project is www.ardzagank.ge.

Mr. Kutsnashvili introduced the achievements of the coalition in power within two years, and answered the questions of the participants. He was pleased to state about the reconstruction works of Norashen church. The representatives of Armenian community in Georgia turned to the Member of Parliament in Georgia to quicken the process of restitution of the property which was confiscated from the Diocese during the Soviet years.

The participants raised questions concerning intolerant attitude towards Armenians, and the question of insufficient presentation of Georgian citizens by Armenian origin in state authorities.
