On August 7-10, 2014, the 4th international contest of pop music “Pirogovski Rossvet” (Pirogov dawn) took place in Moscow - the capital of the Russian Federation. 17 contestants from 16 countries were participating in the event. The young singer from “Hayartun” Center at Armenian Diocese in Georgia, our compatriot Nina Karapetyan was representing Georgia in the contest. The Armenian Diocese in Georgia had supported the singer to demonstrate her talent in Moscow. Nina Karapetyan actively participated in all the events organized at the Diocese.

It was required to perform two songs, moreover the first song should be of the country language, which you represent, and the second one should be in Russian. In Georgian Nina represented the song “I love” (she is the author of this song), and in Russian she represented Yulia Savicheva’s song “If love lives in the heart”. The professional jury rated the performance of the contestants with a 10 point system. On the contest days more than 10 thousand people watched the performance of the contestants. Nina Karapetyan’s performance was followed by warm and stormy applauds. Nina was awarded the prize of “the People’s choice”. According to the points of the jury, Nina Karapetyan won the honourable 3rd place and the title of International Laureate. The contest was held on a high level, and all the contestants were awarded with prizes and souvenirs. Numerous famous artists from Russian show business were invited to support the contestants. The contest ended with wonderful fireworks.
