Professional artist, potter and mosaicist Garegin Mirzoev and his works PDF Print E-mail

On the 1st of April personal exhibition of famous Armenian artist in Tbilisi Garegin Mirzoev was opened in the showroom of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, which was organized by the Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Center. Mosaic and ceramic works, oil paintings created by the gifted artist were presented. Levon Chidilyan, Head of the Cultural Department at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and coordinator of the “Hayartun” Center, opened the exhibition. He congratulated Garegin Mirzoev, the member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, on his second personal exhibition in Tbilisi.

Meruzhan Shahumyan, Chairman of the Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia, touched upon Garegin Mirzoev’s career, and mentioned that he is equally talented in his paintings, sculptures, ceramic and mosaic works. He also noted that due to author’s native modesty his works were not always available to the public.

Honored Art Worker of Georgia Roman Sukhishvili recalled the artist Mirzoev’s family, told about famous graphic artist Gregory in particular, who brought up and raised now gray-haired artist Garegin. Everyone who delivered a speech stressed great sense of style and proportion, color harmony in his landscape paintings, still life paintings, highly artistic ceramic works, marvelous mosaic art examples, which impress and fascinate viewer.

At the end of the event Priest Manuk Zeynalyan transmitted blessing from the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and best wishes to Garegin Mirzoev in presentation of his creative world to the audience.

The versatile meritorious artist expressed his gratitude to the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and the Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia for high appreciation of his work. The exhibition will run until the 10th of April.
