Workshop with Professor Ernest Arakelov featuring the conservatory students PDF Print E-mail

On March 30, 2013 the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted violin concert featuring the students of Professor Ernest Arakelov’s violin class, who heads the department of string music at V.Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory. The event, which was organized by the Armenian Musician's Union of Georgia under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Center, was aimed to present the brilliant performance of works of world-famous composers by the conservatory students, who have chosen the career of violinist.

Works of Jenkinson, Kreisler, Mendelssohn, Vazha Azarashvili, Tchaikovsky, Eduard Bagdasaryan, Sarasate et al were perfectly performed by students of Professor Ernest Arakelov’s violin class - Davit Aleksanyan, Tata Gvazava, Stella Mkrtchyan, Marika Kasradze, Marianna Kirakozva, Elene Shashiashvili, Mikhey Chang and others. The successful performance of violinists was accompanied by pianists Teona Mikeladze.

At the end of the event spiritual shepherd of the Cathedral of Surb Gevorg in Tbilisi Priest Narek Ghushchyan, transmitted to the audience blessing from the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, he highly appreciated Maestro and his students for brilliant performance of pieces of classical music before a large audience.

The winner of international contests, famous pianist Kristina Mehrabyan and Artem Kirakozov, Chairman of the Armenian Musician's Union of Georgia, were the hosts of the event.
