Famous miniature painter Gohar Hakobyan this time appeared before the Armenian community of Tbilisi from the different perspective. Many years ago she realized a long-term dream – a journey to Artsakh, and she set a goal to share her feelings and experiences with the Armenian community of Tbilisi.

On March 29 the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted a slideshow entitled “Artsakh… at a glance”, miniature painter Gohar Hakobyan was a slideshow presenter. Gohar Hakobyan collected and classified pictures and videos shot during her journey to Artsakh, deepened her knowledge of history, and during two-hour show offered an interesting insight into Artsakh. Gohar provided historical data, with high precision described location, adjacent countries, natural resources and the unique beauty of the natural surroundings of Artsakh.

Arming herself with accurate knowledge the lecturer spoke about religious centers, churches and monasteries in Artsakh. She told about their architectural style, historical fate and current state. With the aid of slides and interesting lecture, Gohar Hakobyan showed strong will and determination to preserve Artsakh free and independent, with appreciation recalled many victims who sacrificed their lives for Artsakh’s freedom.

At the end of the meeting the audience raised issues related to Artsakh’s destiny.
