Yerevan International Festival Golden Apricot has visited Javakheti already for the 6^th time. Within the framework of the “Golden Apricot on Wheels” program on November 8-9-10 in Akhalkalaki the best movies of the film festival will be shown, as well as the best movies of recent years, created by Georgian National Film Center.

On November 9, in “Golden Apricot” cinema the solemn opening ceremony of the festival took place.

The Vicar-General of Javakhk Supreme Archimandrite Babken Salbiyan thanked and appreciated the activities the Golden Apricot Film Festival staff , stressing that already for the 6^th time the best Film Festival is also being held in Javakheti. After that together with Priest Tatev Marukyan the Vicar-General conducted a blessing ceremony.

Harutyun Khachatryan, chairman of the festival, greeted the audience and evaluated the role of cinema and its importance in people's lives.

Golden Apricot Festival in Javakheti is held in cooperation with “Phoenix” Human Resources Development Foundation, RA embassy to Georgia and Georgian National Film Center.

Film Festival’s schedule: November 8 – “Parajanov”, November 9 – “Childhood Interrupted”, “Javakhk, Eternal Homeland”, “Smile”, “Endless Escape, Eternal Return”, and November 10 – cartoons "Armenian Animation-75" and the movie "Salt White".

“If only everyone…” movie will close the film festival.
