The Representatives of the American University of Armenia Met with the Armenian Youth of Georgia PDF Print E-mail

On November 3, 2013 Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted a meeting of the representatives of the American University of Armenia with the Armenian youth of Georgia. The Admission Committee Coordinator Karine Satamian, the representative of communication services Tatevik Vardanian and Vahram Ghushchian, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, who came from Yerevan, presented in detail the teaching methodology, education programs and advantages of the diploma of the American University of Armenia. The American University of Armenia is an institute of higher education, which includes Western-style educational programs, is accredited in the United States, recognized by the state in the Republic of Armenia and provides comprehensive education. The university matches all the criteria of Western international education, is recognized in the region, offers 4-year bachelor's degree programs and eight Master degree programs.

Speaking about the benefits of American-style education, the promotion of a new way of thinking was emphasized, which provides training, analysis, comparison of theoretical and practical solutions to problems. The studies are conducted in English, like the citizens of the Republic of Armenia the applicants of Armenian descent from the former Soviet republics receive a 50% tuition fee discount.

After that the speakers by asking questions and receiving answers discovered the interests of Tbilisi Armenian youth, commented on ways to overcome the difficulties, naming high level of learning achievment the highest priority. They also discussed the ways to overcome the financial difficulties arising during training.

The youth and their parents sitting in the hall asked questions and received competent answers from the guests as well as their willingness to support.
