On the Feast of the Evangelists Sts. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John the faithful of Surb Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, under the leadership of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirazakhanian, visited Surb Astvatsatsin Church of Shahumyan settlement in Marneuli region, where reconstruction work is being conducted. With the participation of the faithful thanksgiving service was conducted at the church, after that the faithful prayed with the hope that the temple restoration would be finished soon.

The Primate also blessed the builders, who scrupulously carry out their work. After that the pilgrims visited Red village, where in 2012 the Chapel Srbots Avetaranchats (the Holy Evangelists) was built and sanctified, and attended the Divine Liturgy. Spiritual shepherd of the Armenian communities in Marneuli region, Priest Movses Ashuryan conducted the service.

The Choir of Saint George’s Cathedral sang hymns instead of the psalm-readers. Upon completion of the Divine Liturgy His Grace delivered a sermon and gave instructions to the pilgrims from Tbilisi and the faithful of Red village.

The celebration was completed with regale in the hospitable community of Red village.
