A Celebration to Mark Georgia’s Independence Day PDF Print E-mail

The 26th of May - the Independence Day of Georgia- was celebrated with great pomp throughout the country. As in other regions, the national holiday was also observed in the region of Tsalka and nearby villages, where talented song and dance ensembles showed a wonderful performance. Song and dance ensemble of the Armenian public school

in Khach village, with the assistance of a young teacher Lyuba Badalyan, brilliantly took part in the national feast. The dance ensemble showed performance under the folk song “Gorani” performed by a People's Artist of Armenia, the deceased Flora Martirosyan. Costumes of Tbilisi ensemble "Vanq" and ensemble “Ani” of the "Hayartun" Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia complemented a brilliant performance under the sounds of the unique melody, thus the dancers had won hearts of audience and received thunderous applause. School dance ensemble of Khach village received wonderful presents, and the choreographer Lyuba Badalyan received a Praise Letter.
