A1On April 8, 2018, at the end of the Sunday Divine Liturgy, the Requiem Service was offered in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia for the peace of the IMG 1285souls of the brave sons of the Armenian nation, who died during the for-day war in Artsakh.
On that day in the Surb Khach (the Holy Cross) church in Akhalkalaki (the Samtskhe – Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia) the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan delivered a speech on the memory of the glorious 29983762soldiers, who died during the four – day war in April 2016. Afterwards, under the presidency of His Grace and with the participation of priests and acolytes, Requiem Service was offered.
Commemoration of the soldiers who died in Nagorno - Karabakh – Azerbaijani line of contact; was held with Requiem Services in the Saint Gevorg Cathedral in Tbilisi, Saint Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari, Surb Prkich (the Holy Savior) church in Batumi, Saint Gregory the Illuminator church in Akhaltsikhe, Saint Sargis church in Ninotsminda, as well as in the churches in Armenian – populated regions and villages.
Many faithful lit candles in memory of the dead sons of the Armenian Nation and prayed for the peace of their souls.
