The Feast of Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ was solemnly celebrated in Shahumyan and Tsiteli villages, Kvemo Kartli region.

On January 6, 2018, Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan, Pastor of Armenians in Marneuli, Bolnisi and Tetritskaro of Kvemo Kartli region (Armenian Diocese in Georgia); celebrated the Divine Liturgy and conducted the ceremony of the Jurorhnek, or the "Blessing of Water", at the Surb Astvatsatsin Church (Holy Mother of God) in the village of Shahumyan.

During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant conveyed to the attendees the fatherly love and blessings of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

Afterwards, Father Husik conducted the ceremony of the Jurorhnek, or the "Blessing of Water", which was distributed to the faithful.

An Evening Service was held and the Jurorhnek, or the "Blessing of Water" was conducted in the Chapel Srbots Avetaranchats (Chapel of Holy Evangelists) in the Tsiteli Village. The day was festive in the Tsiteli village, as the first-graders and third-graders received New Year gifts from an unknown benefactor.

At the initiative of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, on the Feast of Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the mass baptism was conducted in Shahumyan settlement and Tsiteli village. Rev.Father Husik Harutyunyan anointed with the sacred chrism, more than forty people of different ages, the ceremony granted spiritual joy and happiness to the faithful.
