Youth Department of Armenian Diocese in Georgia Celebrates New Year and Christmas |

On December 23, 2017, New Year and Christmas celebration party was organized on the initiative of the Youth department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and with the support of the Hayartun Center in Tbilisi’s Restaurant Lazuri Ezo. A total of 130 people were participating, including young Armenians from Tbilisi, Rustavi and Javakheti. The purpose of the event was to meet and establish friendly ties with each other, to create a happy atmosphere, to say goodbye to 2017 and start 2018. The evening was well-arranged by the director Valery Badalyan and coordinator of the Youth department Nina Seropova, it was filled with interesting and amusing contests, cheerful games. In his opening remarks, director Valery Badalayan conveyed the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, wishing the attendees a magical time on the party. The evening was hosted by young Armenian activists of the Hayartun Center, Liza Torosyan and Emil Sarkisyan. The remarks of presenters were filled with jokes, humorous stories, beautiful memories and funny comments, turning it into a time of real celebration, which could leave no one indifferent. Santa Claus Anna Miskaryan and Snow Maiden Nika Ghazaryan appeared in a new role. During the event, the competitions were organized and awarded in a wide range of categories. The awards for the best dance and the best song were presented to Dina Minasyan, Marina Sarkisyan, Anna Badalyan, Victoria Sakanyan from Rustavi, Racho Surmalyan, the Taron Dance Group. Marina Sumakhyan was recognized as the Hayartun’s Best Friend 2017, and Harut Malkhasyan and Stepan Evajyan, who had organized volunteer training courses, won diploma for Best Idea for Students. The Youth Department did not remain indifferent to the families which always express willingness to participate in the activities of the Diocesan Headquarters, the Youth department and the Hayartun Center. The Minasyans and Bazoyans were recognized best. For demonstrating his ability to sing and dance, as well as being active Nika Ghazaryan was chosen as the leader of the brigade at the Summer Camp. New Year and Christmas celebration party, which for the past five years, has been organized by the Youth department, was a success. At the conclusion of the party, the youth enjoyed the celebratory cake, and returned home with great impressions. |
