Starting May 2, 2017, at the initiative and with the financial support of the Headquarters of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, St. Movses Khorenatsi Primary School in Tbilisi provides children extra instructional time. Kindergarten will start at 9:30 am; the kindergarten students will finish school at 4:30 pm. With the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Diocesan Headquarters will offer children one additional meal during the day. Extended day program will give kindergarten students an opportunity to spend more time with their teachers and buddies, to get more social interaction, to learn while playing and to have more fun. St. Movses Khorenatsi Primary School (Preschool Director, Eugenia Markosyan) is the only pre-school institution in Tbilisi promoting Armenian upbringing. “St Movses Khorenatsi” Preschool was established with the initiative and support of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia in October 2011 only for 8 students. Now approximately 50 students attend the preschool. The preschool has senior and junior groups. Three subject teachers and specialists in singing, dancing and aesthetic education are responsible for the education process. The day at the preschool begins with the Matin and blessings of the priests. Every year St. Movses Khorenatsi Primary School sends 10 to 16 school-age children to Armenian school. |
