The Armenian Youth of Georgia Visited the Information Center on NATO PDF Print E-mail

Within the framework of cooperation between Information Center on NATO and EU and the Youth Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia (Director: Valery Badalyan), on October 12, 2016, the visit of young Armenian activists to the Information Center, particularly the new premises of the Information Center, which were inaugurated during an official visit in Georgia of NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, was organized. Director of Information Center, Ketevan Chachava welcomed the group of young Armenians, led by Nina Seropova, Youth Programs Coordinator, and Giorgi Tumasyan, Founder of The Peace Foundation. The Director emphasized the importance of the cooperation between the Youth Department and the Information Center and discussed the plans for the future. Later, the group, led by the Head of Department, toured the new premises, learned more about the structural activities of the Center.

Tornike Nozadze, Head of Strategic Communication Department at the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, met the Armenian youth of Georgia and delivered a lecture. The speaker referred to Georgia's aspirations to join NATO and the EU and the prospects, the increase in anti-Western propaganda in recent days and the ways to fight it.

After that a discussion on various issues was held.

The Youth Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the Information Center highlighted this cooperation and stressed the importance to continue it.
