Makaravanq 

On July 2, 2016, a group consisting of 20 church-loving women of the Saint Etchmidzin Church at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, upon receiving the blessing and good wishes of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, led by Rev. Fr. Manuk Zeynalyan, Dean of the St. Etchmiadzin Church, made a pilgrimage to Makaravank Monastery of the Primacy of Tavush Patriarchal Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The pilgrims were welcomed by Rev.Fr. Arshavir Asaturyan, Pastor of the Church.

Following the service, Rev. Fr. Arshavir told the Armenian faithful of Tbilisi the history of Makaravank Monastery, a 13th century church complex, showed khachkars, the Armenian cross-stones, and defined the ornament symbols.

Later, the Armenian faithful of Tbilisi attended the “Khokum” (meditation) service; they partook of Confession and took Holy Communion. The pilgrims returned to Tbilisi spiritually reborn late at night.
