Official Yerevan calls on the international community to express its principled position on military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In an exclusive statement made to Pirweli Information Agency, the RA Embassy in Georgia has expressed the position of official Yerevan and called on the international community to take effective steps to establish peace in the region, to force the Azerbaijani government to return to the negotiating table.
“Azerbaijan should return to the negotiating table in peace process format under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

It will be recalled that the representatives of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic have also signed the 1994 ceasefire agreement and the 1995 document aimed at strengthening of ceasefire regime.

Azerbaijan should engage in direct talks with the NKR Government, whether or not it has fellow-feeling with the population of the NKR.

Moreover, we believe that any violation of the ceasefire should be the subject of a detailed investigation, since only investigation is a guarantor of peace process. We call on the international community to express its principled position, to take effective steps to establish peace in the region, to force Azerbaijan to adhere to the terms and conditions of the 1994 agreement,” the statement reads.
