On 26-27 December, 2015, the “Connoisseur Club” of Georgia (the President, Artak Ayvazyan) hosted two days of intense competition. The tournament lasted for three months and involved many new teams. Meetings were held almost every Saturday. Teams such as “Vaspurakan” (leader David Kharazov), “Matyan Gund” (leader Karen Hovhannisyan), “Cilicia” (leader Hrachia Surmalyan), “Urartu”(leader Harutyun Iritsyan), “Aliq Media”(leader Arsen Kharatyan) participated in the tournament season of 2015.

Questions, based on logical thinking and reasoning, were chosen very thoroughly by the initiator and organizer of the event. They were intended to discover the intelligence of the participants and to fill the knowledge gaps of the audience.

Batumi’s “Masis” team of “Our Future” Youth Union at Surb Prkich (St. Savior) Church (leader Petros Abrahamyan) also participated in the competition.

The team had specially arrived from Batumi on December 26, 2015, during that day and a half-day on December 27 competed with every participating team, had the biggest points score and gained a final spot.

In the evening on the 27th of December, “Masis” team and the winner of 2014 “Matyan Gund” met in the finals.

An intense and changing game ended in a draw, the players were asked an additional question, “Masis” team gave the correct answer and was declared the winner of “Connoisseur Club” 2015 season.

Levon Chidilyan, the head of the Hayartun Center and the member of the jury, congratulated the winners, thanked Batumi’s “Masis” team for arriving to Tbilisi and participating in this competition. He presented gifts to the best player and the team members on behalf of the Hayartun Center.

The team leader, Petros Abrahamyan, expressed his gratitude to the Diocesan Headquarters, the Hayartun Center and Batumi’s Surb Prkich (St. Savior) Church on behalf of the team for the provided support. He told about the intention of “Our Future” Youth Union to organize similar tournament in Batumi, at the newly renovated Alexander Mantashev Educational, Cultural and Youth Center.

Brain-ring 2016 season of “Connoisseur Club” will start in spring of 2016.
