On October 8, 2015, the Pastor of the Marneuli District and nearby villages in the Kvemo Kartli region, Archimandrite Khoren Hovhannisyan in the company of the Pastor of the Surb Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Father Narek Ghushyan, visited the villages of Durnuki, Shamshulda (Samshvilde) and Samgreti of the Tetri-Tskaro district.

Spiritual shepherds celebrated the divine service in the Surb Nshan Church in the village of Samgreti. The church was built in the 10^th- 11^th centuries and was renovated in the 19^th century.

Father Narek Ghushyan and Archimandrite Khoren Hovhannisyan visited the Surb Prkich Church in the village of Shamshulda (Samshvilde), met the local population and discussed their most relevant concerns.

Finally Very Rev. Father Khoren Hovhannisyan and Father Narek Ghushchyan arrived at the village of Durnuki. They had an interesting and fruitful conversation with the village headman Giorgi Jirashvili. The two sides discussed issues related to how to make the local people more attached to their land, get them closer to God, and stressed the importance of frequent observance of religious rites in the village.

The Pastors lit candles and prayed in the Surb Astvatsatsin Church (Holy Mother of God Church) in the village of Small Daghet.
