On October 22, 2015, Father Ghevond Topashyan, Sacristan of St. George Cathedral in Tbilisi, paid a pastoral visit to the Armenian communities of Marneuli District. A meeting with the locals took place on the central square in the village of Gyulibakh, where he asked them what issues concern them most, urged to live by faith and keep the commandments.

The next place in the framework of Father Ghevond Topashyan’s pastoral visit was the Armenian-inhabited village of Khozhorni. Residents of the neighboring village of Tsopk joined the local village people. Spiritual father met local schoolchildren, asked questions and showed interest in their activities outside of school. Father Ghevond discussed issues of local concern; the village residents stressed the value of similar meetings.

Father Ghevond Topashyan promised the population of the Armenian communities of Marneuli District he would visit them on October 28 and deliver a sermon “The Role of the Church in a Believer's Life”.
